A Life Devoted to
Horses & Healing

Sabine Niederberghaus-Lesavoy came to Topanga Canyon with a vision: to create a space where people could reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with the ancient wisdom of horses. Over eight years as an Airbnb Superhost and equine facilitator, she has welcomed hundreds of guests from around the world to La Esperanza Ranch.

Her background spans equestrian training, somatic therapy, and leadership development. She has worked with executives, artists, therapists, and individuals in transition — all finding in the horses a mirror that reflects what words cannot reach.

At La Esperanza, Sabine creates a container of safety, depth, and joy — where transformation happens not through effort, but through presence.

What Horses Know That We've Forgotten

Horses are prey animals — exquisitely sensitive to energy, intention, and authenticity. They cannot be fooled. They respond not to what you say, but to who you are in this moment.

In Sabine's Equine Leadership Program, participants work alongside La Esperanza's four dressage horses in a series of carefully designed exercises. No riding experience is necessary — the work happens on the ground, in relationship.

The horses become teachers, mirrors, and partners — revealing patterns of communication, leadership, and presence that participants carry into every area of their lives.

Sabine's Philosophy

01

Presence Over Performance

In a world that rewards doing, Sabine's work invites being. Horses respond to authentic presence — not performance. This is the first and most profound lesson.

02

The Body as Compass

Somatic awareness is central to the work. Horses communicate through the body — and so do we. Learning to listen to physical sensation is learning to listen to truth.

03

Leadership as Relationship

True leadership is not about control — it is about connection. The horses teach us that the most powerful leaders are those who can be fully themselves in relationship with others.
